A Ventura institution for sure! I hadn't eaten here over 30 years and it's like I hadn't been away at all. The food has not changed at all. I got the crispy tacos and my mom got a 3 way burrito. Flavor is still the same and prices are still great! Just as I remembered. It has been on the Avenue for generations.

Johnny's remains my go-to place for delicious treats! I've been coming here for years (almost 60!). The original owners are long gone, but the taste remains the same. 60 years, and the same delicious burritos, tacos and salsa! Served from the same half door I got my order from when I was a kid. The memories every time I eat there...!
Amazingly good food & affordable prices. The shredded beef tacos remind me of Tito's tacos in Culver City. The cheese enchiladas are fantastic. Huge fan of this place I will definitely be back to try more items like the chimichangas & burritos.
